Mobile shopping reaches a new record in Q4/2018

Mobile payment transactions volume reached almost $33.3 billion during the holiday (Nov – Dec 2018) shopping season, according to a new Adobe Analytics release.

With the 58% on mobile transactions (which is 57% more compared to the previous year) the trend is moving towards buying online and picking up in-store.

The majority of transactions was made on smartphones (50%) and only less than 9% on tablets.

With these trends, Mobile Shopping increased up to 39% and has YOY growth of almost 9%.

“Weary shoppers continue to look for alternatives to crowded stores, long lines and empty shelves in the final push to Christmas.”
